Kindred Heart Collective was created to support caregivers, protectors, and changemakers through grounded breathwork, nervous system support, and transformational healing.
This work exists for the people who are always showing up for everyone else while quietly carrying stress, pressure, emotional overload, and exhaustion beneath the surface.
I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 15 years of experience supporting people through stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and life transition. Over time, my work evolved beyond traditional talk therapy and into a more somatic, nervous system-centered approach that helps people reconnect not only with their thoughts, but with their body, breath, emotions, and deeper sense of self. Today, my work blends clinical understanding with grounded transformational practices that support real regulation, emotional release, and reconnection.
For years, I worked in high-intensity mental health environments supporting people through crisis, trauma, and deep emotional pain. Eventually, the weight of constantly holding space for others caught up with me. I experienced burnout in a way that impacted every part of my life mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
I know what it feels like to:
What changed my life was learning how to work with my nervous system instead of constantly overriding it. Breathwork, somatic practices, meditation, and intentional healing helped me reconnect to myself in a way traditional coping strategies never fully could.
That experience became the foundation for the work I now offer others.
Many of the people I work with have spent years living in survival mode. They are highly capable, deeply caring, and constantly responsible for others but disconnected from their own needs, limits, emotions, and nervous system. This work is not about fixing people. It is about helping people:
Because healing does not happen through pressure. It happens through safety, awareness, support, and reconnection
This work combines clinical understanding, somatic healing, breathwork, nervous system education, and practical integration. The goal is not temporary relief. The goal is sustainable reconnection.
Support the nervous system in coming out of chronic activation, stress, and survival mode through grounding practices, breathwork, and awareness.
Create safe space for emotional processing, tension release, and letting go of the pressure your body has been carrying.
Return to your body, your truth, your needs, and your sense of self with greater steadiness and clarity.
The people I work with are often:
They are often highly functional externally while carrying exhaustion, emotional heaviness, chronic stress, or disconnection internally.

I was so nervous before my first session, but I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Julie provides such a warm and safe environment, while still giving lots of space for you to explore what you need from the session.
I initially tried breathwork with the intention of regulating my nervous system and adding another tool to help me feel calmer, but I ended up getting a lot more than that. After just two sessions, I found such a stronger sense of self and a deeper understanding of how powerful of a tool my own breath can be! I’ve felt such a big shift in my confidence and overall gratitude for my life. It unexpectedly helped me overcome some mental blocks I’ve held onto for years.
I was hesitant to get back into therapy because I’ve done it so many times in early adulthood with little positive result. But, I find Julie’s approach refreshing and versatile. I like that she helps me challenge how I think about things – and why. I like that she offers various potential tools like EMDR and breathwork rather than just serving as a space for me to “vent”. SO far, I feel like Im actually making progress toward what I was hoping to achieve by getting back in to therapy.
The space was cozy and welcoming, I felt very at ease and safe. We went over a few details of what might happen during the session and then I laid down and fell in immediately. My hands felt like they were on fire and vibrating. I bawled my eyes out and my body shook. I came back down to earth for a little bit after that my breath slowed as I took in what had just happened. The memories that played in my head. I dropped back in pretty quickly again after that, this time my entire body contorted and I saw a white bright light. Head tingles and a feeling of complete release.
Since my session I’ve continued to feel lighter and brighter. I would definitely recommend doing this!
I came to do a breathwork session, to experience the cathartic process and explore how it could impact me. I have been curious about it for a while. I didn’t have a specific focus. I was open and excited.
Something that stood out to me during the session was the calmness and energy in the room. Julie was so informative prior to the start of the session, and it helped me during my process.
This was my first experience, and I can tell you that I felt myself transcend to a deeper level of consciousness. I felt at complete peace, safe in the room with her, and free to move about my experience.
After the session, I felt calmer, more connected to earth, to myself. I felt grounded and spiritually filled. I felt cared for and peaceful; that feeling has stayed with me days after the experience.
I definitely plan to be back for more, and would 10/10 recommend!
There is another way to move through life besides survival mode. Whether you begin with a workshop, a deeper immersion, or private support, this work is here to help you reconnect to yourself with more steadiness, clarity, and care.
